My work is an inquiry into presence, light, and the physical weight of quiet subjects. Through direct observation, careful geometric staging, and traditional oil painting techniques, I explore the subtle value compressions, edge behaviors, and surface optics that make simple forms endure.
Edward Jerome Gordon (1964 - )is an American painter working from his studio on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His practice focuses strictly on observational still life setups and intimate animal portraiture, emphasizing archival preparation, balanced structural geometry, and direct paint handling.
